I just installed a new board and got the machine working but now the water does not shut off when it should. I tried to reset it and changing to different levels and it still did not shut off the water. It also has a very loud click during the agitate cycle. Any ideas on either of these two problems?

As for the clicking noise during agitation take the front off the washer and watch it during the wash cycle. The most common thing that will cause a noise during the wash cycle is that the mode shifter will not engage because the shifter coil is open. This will cause the whole tub to spin back and forth during the wash cycle rather than just the agitator. for more on this visit GE Washer Repair Guide As for the water not shutting off there should be a tube connected to the water level control make sure that is still attached at the control and the tub. Sometimes this tube will get stopped up right where it attaches to the tub, check that. The water level control may be bad as well. But if you have to cut the water off to stop the water the water inlet valve is bad.
