Fridge is cooling to around 40 at the coldest setting. Freezer is is down to 20 on the 4.5 setting. Light snow in the back of the freezer.

Remove the rear panel in the freezer and check the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat (#14 & #21 on the diagram) for continuity. The defrost thermostat must be cold at that time.

If there is nothing wrong then replace the adaptive defrost control (#23 on the diagram).

The diagrams I used for references are for the model similar to yours, but part numbers are different.

- The part number for the adaptive defrost control is AP3959125

- The part number for the defrost heater is AP3557499

- The part number for the defrost thermostat is AP2150145

Gene.
