water in door dispenser is ok.i am not getting any water to the fill tube for the ice maker.i have manually filled tray and it dispensed ice ok but no refill.I was assured by honest people that it was working prior to us buying it.i want to troubleshoot but i dont want to get too involved. Not real comfortable with checking voltage and electrical lines.what are the most common simple fixes.in a prior post i was instructed to change leads on inlet valve and push water lever.i did get water to the ice maker when i did this......now what?

That tells you that the water valve is good. Assuming the wire connections are good, (it is not common for them to be bad) replace the icemaker. The icemaker might be able to be fixed and if you are interested in troubleshooting your icemaker use this link Whirlpool Icemaker Repair Guide
