Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 6/4/2009(UTC) Posts: 2		My washer has been run with an off-balanced load on and off at times. (Someone does not get to it in time to balance the load) It now leaks with a drip to light flow at the bottom of the machine. I think it is due to the 'abusive unbalanced use'. The basket seems to show excessive play as it moves from side to side more than (I think) it used to; and the agitator has about 1 inch of play when I lift up on it. Is this a 'common' problem and... one that I can fix without too much trouble? Thanks, RPaul.

If the picture shows; the leak is where part #20 meets the base of the tub. There is a rubber piece there and the water has a 'drip to light flow' at that point. ALSO... I need to fix the loose tub - or so it seems to be more loose than before. Can I just tighten the springs? or is there a 'regular' fix for this? Thanks... RPaul.

There is info on this at www.applianceaid.com. just refer to the dependable care washer section. A routine repair, but time consuming. You will need to drive the old sleeve bearing off the tranny housing with a steel rod.
