(Not sure how old our washer is- it came with our house~)

It fills and drains fine, but apparently isn't spinning/agitating. I tried it on several different cycles thinking maybe it would work on another one, but it isn't working at all- it doesn't make any sounds or anything. Any suggestions?

Make sure the lid switch is working, should make a click when you close the lid.

Sounds like the lid switch is working fine.

Make sure there is power at the outlet, rather unusual problem unless a connector came loose.

There don't appear to be any issues with power- the outlet is good and it is getting power. Is there something else I should be looking at??

If it drains, the motor works, is that true.

Yup. It's draining fine. It's just not wringing the clothes dry at all. They're soaking wet when the cycle finishes.

Pull the pump and motor and turn the tranny coupler clockwise and counterclockwise and post your results.

It's hard to turn clockwise- takes a lot of pressure, doesn't really turn counterclockwise at all. Is it supposed to be so difficult to turn? It only rotates the agitator & basket at the same time- the agitator doesn't turn independent of the basket. Is it supposed to be like that?

Seems like a bad tranny. Pull it out and check.
