I have a GE flat top Cooktop, and
a) one of the burners, when turned on, remains on Hi no matter the control knob setting
b) The select switch that controls the bigger/outer coil Vs the smaller/inner coil is broken. I can get the part but I looked at the cooktop from top and underneath and cannot figure out how to get to the insides and replace the select witch.

Quote:GE flat top Cooktop I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number. Quote:cannot figure out how to get to the insides I don't know about whatever model you have but most cooktops need to be removed from the counter top before access to their internal parts can be gained.
