Most likely the problem is a bad control board.

- The part number for the control module is AP2802870

Good luck.

Hi Gene

When I remove the panel inside the door, are there any springs etc that I should be aware of ??

Is there somewhere I could get a pictorial of the inside of the door ?

I also noted my unit has 5 lights while the replace has 7 lites going horizontally, the lady at appliance parts told me Bosch had changed the part but not to worrry as this new unit will fit ... any advise ??

Really appreciate your help.

To remove the outer door, open the door and remove the six T-20 Torx screws located three on each side of the inner stainless door.

Return the door back to its upright position, and bring the bottom of the door panel out toward you, then slide the top of the panel down and out from under the fascia panel.

As the outer door is being removed, the left or right door guards may shift or fall out of place. To reposition them, slide them back in over the hinge, lining up the door guard square tab with the hinge lever square notch. Please note: door guards must be in place before reinstalling the door panel.

After removing the outer door, remove the six T-20 Torx screws securing the fascia assembly to the inner door With the screws removed, bring the fascia assembly down cradling it so as not to scratch the fascia console.

With the fascia assembly removed from the unit, it can be further separated into two assemblies. To separate, release the four locking tabs and bring the fascia frame up from the fascia console.

Press in on the three locking tabs and bring the control module out from the console frame. Now remove the wiring connectors by pressing in on the locking tabs of each connector, then sliding the connector up and off from the control module. I would recommend to draw a picture of the wiring connectors sequence first.

Assemble in the reverse order.

The manufacturer has redesigned the cover and indicator lights. The APP CSR gave you the right information.

In his post "Gene" mentioned that the "door guards" may fall out while changing the door panel. Two black plastic "claws" fell out of my Bosch SHU43C02UC and I can't figure out how to get them back in. The door panel goes on quite nicely without them, but I figure they must have some purpose. Can you be more specific about how to reinstall them?

Gene,
Thanks for getting back to me ---- without you and this site I would have gone and purchased a new machine as the last estimate for fixing this was over $400.
The new cover is in the mail and it appears that just removing the top cover of the door will be enough to remove the old cover (w/ 3 broken tabs- hence the problem with the inoperative timer and 2 other modes) and replace it with the new. The cover has 3 tabs on the bottom and a couple on the top and with a little gentle persuasion it looks like I should be able to accomplish the repair, do you concur? Hope so, thanks again, bud, --Chris-->>

Better way is to remove the door panel first as described in the post http://forum.appliancepartspros...86-bosch-dishwasher.html

Gene,
Mission accomplished! Getting all the plastic components snapped back into place was a little more daunting than I had anticipated. You were right the bottom panel needed to come off to have adequated room to work with the control module assembly, its connections and the new cover. Thanks for your good words and direction. The Jenn Air oven LED display is next---Chris->>

We're glad you were able to fix it. Good luck with your Jenn Air.
