Hello All!

My problem began intermittently, but now happens every time we use this oven. The oven get to the set temperature but within 15-20 minutes the screen goes blank and the element shuts off. The fan continues to run. This happens in all cooking modes. Giving the touchpad a wack sometimes turns it back on, but the symptoms repeat themselves. It started in the top convection oven, but has now spread to the lower standard oven. I replaced the touchpad about two years ago. Anyone have a clue? Thanks in advance!

Hi Brian,

Most likely the problem with your oven is a bad control board which has to be replaced. The new board comes with the installation instructions.

- The part number for the control board is AP3155970 .

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE oven Model JTP56WA1WW

That’s not gonna be the problem
I have had to replace my control board three times and I’m still having a problem this is just a very poor and badly manufacturer product and GE need to have a recall on it.

Sorry to hear it. What is the complete model number of the oven? Also can you please describe the problem more specific?
Thank you.

Hi there. GE electric range, about 12 years old. Been workign perfectly until 2 weeks ago.

Model JCB968. Oven gets heated and then randomly shuts off, like you had never set anything. I thought someone in the family was shutting off the oven. Any idea what is wrong? Thanks

I’m having the same issue with my oven. I’ve had the control board replaced twice. The oven is less than 10 years old.

Same here. PTS700SNSS, just over a year old. Had the control board replaced twice now.
