The dryer in question has a model info tag for RCA DRB1555RALWH. From the troubleshooting info here, it appears likely to be a thermostat issue. Motor runs and belt is OK; dryer has been throroughly cleaned of excess lint inside.
The parts section here shows parts for a model of exact same number, but identified as a GE model. Would this older "RCA" identified model actually be a rebranded GE dryer, at the time it was made and on the market? (Can I safely assume the GE part of same model number is really the correct part?)

GE made the RCA and Hotpoint appliances and some of the Sears ones. Check the vent for blockages or limited airflow.
