Hi, My 2013 Frigidaire freezer started frosting over pretty bad a few weeks back, and then a couple of days ago the FF portion stopped getting cold. I read up, did some troubleshooting, and determined the defrost timer needed to be replaced. I replaced it and the defrost tstat, which seemed to improve the problem a bit, but not entirely. The fridge is cooler, but not as cold as it should be, and the freezer is still frosting, just not as severely. Is there anything other than the defrost heating element that I should consider? Thanks!

Did you remove the back wall and defrost the coils completely. All that frost and ice needs to be melted out of there. If any is left it can cause it to slowly freeze back up.

Yeah, I used a hair dryer to melt it all, and I left the freezer door opened while I was installing the timer. It’s not an old fridge, and we had the same model at our last place, and never had this issue. Just started out of the blue.
