Hello All

I have an electric LG dryer that won't stop tumbling.

Once the drying cycle is complete the heat function stops but the dryer keeps tumbling (cold air blowing).

The machine display is all off as if the cycle is complete.

The only way to stop the tumbling is either open the door or unplug the machine. once the door is closed the tumbling continues.

Besides this the dryer works fine just want stop tumbling at the end of the cycle.

Any ideas on the issue?

Model DLE2701V

Thank you

I suspect that the motor relay on the board is stuck on. You could try gently tapping on it to see if it opens again. Probably going to need a new relay or a new board.

Thank you so much.

Not knowing much about electronics can you please advise which column and row the relay would be in that picture.

Also, is that control board picture a generic one or is that one specific for my model? If that is for my modl do you happen to have the part number for it?

Thank you

So the machine will keep tumbling always unless you unplug it or keep the door open?
Sounds like the motor start relay on the main control board is stuck in the closed position.

If so here is the part you need.

Its a repair service. Its probably the motor relay sticking 'on'. If you could locate a new relay you could replace it yourself.
