Hi, my dishwasher is hanging up at the 7 o'clock and 10 o'clock position on the high temp cycles. I read the previous blogs and tried it on normal cycle and it worked fine. Except the soap did not dissolve well. Based on what I read I ordered a high temp sensor from APP and installed it. This did not solve my issue. Still hangs up and dishes have a white powderish film on them.
When it is hung up it seems to have an intermittent humming sound to it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello. What is the part number and location of the "sensor" you replaced? Sounds like the problem is a faulty temp boost hi temperature wash thermostat which is located under the dishwasher, behind the kick panel. It has yellow and yellow/black wires to it. The temp boost wash thermostat Part number: AP2108961

I ordered part number 154290204 and installed it on the bottom of the washer after watching your how to video.

You replaced the high limit thermostat which most likely has nothing to do with the problem you described. This is a safety thermostat to protect the dishwasher from possible overheating. It is normally closed and opens the heating circuit if the temperature will go over the limit.
Try to replace the temp boost wash thermostat I mentioned in the previous post.

Hi Gene, Thanks for the advice I have ordered the part. If I run the washer with the high temp modes shut off should it work properly or will it still hang up? It seems to be leaving a lot of white residue on the dishes as well.

Hi Gene, I ordered and replaced part # AP2108961 as you suggested. When I found the sensor behind the kick panel there were two sensors in one holder. The one with yellow/yellow black wires has the wrong size blade connectors on it. The one with orange/yellow wires had the same part number as I had ordered so that is the one I replaced. Washer is still hanging up and makes a pulsing hum at the turn dial when this happens. I have a pic of the two sensors in the retainer but don't know how to post it here.

According to the manufacturer wiring diagram, the temp boost wash thermostat has yellow and yellow/black wires to it. The blades size is not that critical, especially if they are a bit smaller. What is the part number of the other thermostat with orange/yellow wires?

The part number of the sensor with yellow and orange was the same as the one I ordered 154227808. As for the other sensor blade size I could not use the sensor I ordered because the wires would not stay attached.
