Start wash cycle and the fill sensing light turns ... then it pauses and the lid light comes on then it starts to fill but stops and then the lid lock light starts flashing and the machine stops with the fill sensing light lite and lid lock flashing

A flashing Lid Lock light tells you there is an error that needs to be resolved.
The error could be anything from a bad lid lock, to a bad shift actuator, to a bad start run capacitor, to a bad motor. You need to put your machine in diagnostic mode and read the error codes if you feel comfortable doing so, to find out what is the matter.
