Hello all, new to this site. I have a maytag neptune mah3000 tha is about seven years old.The machine runs all the way through the cycle, but when it comes time to spin, it wont. Last year I replaced the control boarrd and the wax motor and it worked great. Not sure what this problem is? Could it be the pump or the motor it self, like I said everything seems to be working fine. Not sure what to do. Any help would be great. Thank you very much.

Well, I hate to have to tell you something you probably already know, but you have one of the most troublesome machines Maytag ever made. The problem with trying to diagnosis your problem is that it could be many things, and about the only thing I can do is provide you with the service manual if you do not already have it. http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16010061.pdfTake a look, and if you are still stumped about where to look post again and we can give you some ideas, but nothing in the way of a definite solution. Good luck, sorry not to have been more helpful.

Hello, If the door lock light comes on but won't spin then it is usually a mechanical issue in the door latch assembly. If wax motor energizes but still no spin: i.e door lock light now comes on but still no spin. This indicates that your control board repair was successful but you have a mechanical issue in the door latch assembly. Ø Remove wax motor and reinstall Ø Remove and expand spring clip that pushes wax motor to the right and reinstall Ø Watch the door latch wax motor operate to see if there is binding up Ø To watch door latch wax motor in operation: 1. Tear down machine to get to the wax motor 2. Push the door closed button with your finger 3. Set timer on a spin cycle 4. Press Start 5. The wax motor should start moving and verify that the door lock mechanism goes all the way to the right and presses the spin enable switch in fully. Note: It takes 45 seconds or so for the wax motor to fully extend.See www.neptunehelp.com for diassasembly photos and more Neptune Information.
