I was testing a door switch to my microwave before doing and work to it. I pit a screwdriver into the door switch on the outside of the switch as if the door was going to close into it and a big spark happened and lost power to the unit.

breaker did not trip but unit was plugged in at the time and not is just a square metal box hangijg....no power. I have the door switches ready to replace but assuming I know have a bigger problem any thoughts on what happened and will a door switch replacement still fix the issue?

Thanks

Any thoughts? At this point I am going to open it up and see if I can replace some parts. If not will just buy a new one. Appreciate any help, thoughts or comments.
