I have a maytag centennial dryer that will heat up but not spin. I have checked the belt and that is not the problem, and I have tested the door switch. Other than the motor is there something else that could cause the problem?
Thanks for the help!

If it is heating and the motor is not running, then the motor's start switch must be stuck in the "run" position. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wnEEIAsmokYours would be the opposite problem. Your contacts would be welded together or the switch is stuck on. Does the motor hum or do anything?

No, my motor makes no noise at all and doesn't make an effort to run.
Thanks for the reply!
