Did several searches, can't find anyone else with the same problem.

Water/ice dispenser works correctly, I can select cubed/crushed, etc.

(This is for the external water/ice dispenser and control panel)

The light for the dispenser works, but the backlighting for the buttons does not.

I have the panel off, and i'm not sure there is actually lighting inside the push-button panel. The little red "flags" pop into place to show the selection.

I have the wiring diagram, and the only light I am seeing is the one controlled by the pushbutton switch, and that works correctly.

Wife says it "used to" light up, and I'm taking her word for it...all I can say for sure is that there are a lot of wires there.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
Best, Rich

Hi Rich, My Fathers unit had the same issue. It was an LED attached directly to the control panel and the LED can possibly be fixed by someone who can solder well or you need a new board, which is what we needed to do at a cost of about $80.

Thank you, Dean, for the reply.
Can you provide a part number for the board, or perhaps some guidance in disassembling whichever parts will give me access to the LED?

I can solder half way decently, and would be tempted to give it a try.
Really don't want to break something and make it worse, though...

Best regards, Rich

I think you got it right.

I have a WP S by S and it never had lights just those bright red pop up indicators. Your part looks just like mine which looks like this one.......

Hi Rich, I will check, but I think they may have a different model. I would lean towards ThatGuy's response. GL
