Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 11/19/2016(UTC) Posts: 1		unit will suddenly start up in defrost mode. seems like it does this after being operated on a longer heating cycle before this happens as opposed to a 30 second reheat. want to fix instead of leave door open or water in it all the time

Without proof that's all it is. A guess. The touch panels are expensive. Whirlpool WPW10215512 Panl-Cntrl - AppliancePartsPros.com You might try reseating the connectors first.
