The ice chute door is not closing all the way causing ice build up on the inside chute of the ice maker. I replaced the solenoid, ice door assembly and spring. After replacing those it closes much better but still leaves 1/4 inch gap. Why would this be happening?! I checked the solenoid and it moves freely and there is nothing visibly blocking the door from closing. Help!

Is this the ice door you replaced?

Yes the spring is in correctly

Without seeing it, its hard to say whats gone wrong.

Try comparing your door assembly with the parts shown at 1:38 in the video.

Maybe you could take some detailed photos and post them.
