Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 9/24/2016(UTC) Posts: 1		I have a 48" built in kitchen aid side by side that has been diagnose with a bad compressor. The repair man is estimating a cost of about $1500- $1800. Should I replace the compressor or am I better off getting a new 36" refrigerator for about the same cost? The refrigerator came with the house and I cannot afford a new 48" built in. Thank you for your help.

The compressor is pricey and it takes 4 to 5 hours to change out.
