We are researching repair for the agitator assembly; bolt at the top broke off during installation of part, and is down into the agitator shaft; if Doug drills down into the bolt will shavings from the drilling fall down into the transmission? Or is there access into the transmission for that to happen?

Also, in the posted answers to the mold problems, what is HE ????

Can you post a model number. Don't really understand where the bolt has gone.

HE refers to high efficiency, and in a front loader means you should use HE detergent. Always.

Thank you - got it; we are now looking at new units, both washer and dryer.... found out what HE means..... appreciate all the help.
