Maytag washer, model: SAV571EEWW is not draining when it reaches that point in the wash cycle. However, if I open and close the lid it will drain. I checked the lid switch with a multimeter and it seems to have continuity and it still makes that clicking noise when closed.

Also, when the washer stops spinning, it starts filling with water again. Not sure if this is normal operation to get rid of any extra soap, but if not then I am at a loss as to why this is happening. I was thinking of changing out the pump and the timer, but wanted to get a second opinion before doing either.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
