We just bought a new house that came with a Maytag Neptune washer. After running a few loads, we noticed that not all the water drains out. There isn't any water sitting in the tub, but if you spin the unit, you can hear a fair bit of water sloshing around. I took off the pump, drain hose, and drain boot. There was a little water in the hose and pump, but not a lot. I didn't notice any clogs anywhere. Even after taking off all this stuff, I can still hear the water in the drum. Any suggestions? Do I need a new pump or water sensor switch? Thank you in advance for your help.

If your clothes are being spun out so that they are as dry as they should be then don't worry about.

If not, the pump may be an issue.

I've had an almost identical experience -- did you ever determine if there really was a problem?
