im trying to wire up the door switch on my dryer and cant remember which wires go where. it has a black, white, and grey wire. which ones go to the common, NO, and NC?

The grey wire should go to your light if you follow it. If so it will connect to the NO (normally open) connector. The white wire typically indicates neutral and should go to the common connector. Then the black wire which completes the circuit to start the machine will go to the NC (normally closed) connector.
