Long story short...my wife asked me if I could take a look at her friend's dryer. It was shutting down as soon as it would start the cycle and get hot. So I agreed to take a look at it. Having repaired 1 or 2 dryers before, my first inclination was to open up the cabinet and make sure there wasn't an excess of lint on the motor or clogging the vent lines. So I removed the lid and the front panel. In doing this, I disconnected the door switch. Once inside....everything looked much cleaner than I was expecting. So i started checking for continuity on the thermostats or fuses? that I could see without removing the drum. Everything I checked had 0 resistance so nothing was immediately jumping out at me. It was getting late, so I put everything back together and the dryer would no longer run at all.
I took it back apart and checked to make sure that the door switch was working. Everything checked out....I could read through the switch and the top Bearing thermostat. This is the only part of the electrical wiring that I actually touched....so I can't imagine something else failed while I was in there....but I guess stranger things have happened.
I've got power at the mains, the fuse is good, The timer motor is running, ive got power going and coming from the switches/thermostats that I can easily see.
Looking at the wiring diagram...I can see there is an overload protector in series with the door switch and the Bearing thermostat on the neutral side of the motor but I am not sure where this overload is physically located in the dryer? I feel like it has to be something with that front panel because it's the only thing I messed with but I may just be over thinking it.

Any suggestions or really obvious things that I may have missed?
