I own a 9yr. old front loading Kenmore Gas Dryer, model 417.90042990 that has started to squeak. I believe it is the belt but I am not sure. I sprayed some automotive belt dressing on the belt and that did not fix the problem. The belt appears to be glazed over and somewhat discolored which is probably normal for a 9yr. old dryer. How difficult is a belt replacement on this model?

Excellent thanks for the tip. Is this a quick repair? Or should I ask how long does it take an experienced tech. like yourself?

it takes me about 10 minutes. Top comes up, and the front comes off. Release the belt, and remove the drum, and you are there. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

The top popped right off, however I don't see how the front comes off, and the drum to get the belt off? Any idea where I can find an illustrated parts breakdown showing everything for this Kenmore front load dryer?
