Received new mounting stem repairing kit. Inserted it and now it is stuck. Not sure if I hit it when placing inner tub. When I placed inner tub, stem is too high and inner tub won't sit correctly. Unable to remove new mounting stem. I removed screw. Unable to move stem. Any suggestions helpful.

Hitting or banging a mounting stem kit wouldn't usually create a problem like your'e describing. There's been times where the original mounting stem had to be chiseled or cut off, but installation of a new stem kit wasn't loke you described. Recheck and make sure you didn't miss a step.
