GE Covection/Microwave Convection works, microwave doesn't

This is the third time the microwave has broken. There is a loud buzzing noise when it is on "microwave" or "combined." There is normal fan noise on "convection." The last time the G.E. repairman replaced the magnetron and something else. I do not want to pay repairman prices if it is something I can fix myself. I also wonder if it is worth fixing a 15 year old machine. The problem is that we had a special cabinet made for it when we redid the kitchen 15 years ago and of course none of the new machines fit in the old cabinet. I would have to do some cabinet work to get a new machine to look built in.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
