The drain at the bottom of the freezer on our side by side fridge was plugged with ice (found small veggie particles in hole) Thawed with hot water and got particles out. Drain is working fine but now freezer and fridge are not cooling at all. We did not unplug it while cleaning out drain. Doesnt sound like compressor is running now. Had no problem with it at all up to drain being plugged.

Is the evap fan inside the fridge ?

I cannot find any info on the given model number. Please check it. Kenmore numbers are usually 3 digits, a period and then an additional 8 digits.
The evaporator fan is in the freezer not the fresh food section. At least that is how it is on all the fridges I have seen. |
