Hello- I have a GE side by side fridge that is having problems with the fresh food side. The digital panel on the front is set at 34 but the fresh food side only gets to about 40 degrees. The digital panel reads out that it is at 34 degrees and also set at 34 degrees. I have a digital thermometer on the shelf in the fresh food side and it reads 40-41 degrees. The freezer side is just fine and stays at 0 degrees.

We have a service contract and they came and have replaced all the temp sensors, the front readout board, and the main board as well. They stated that the damper control and fan on the fresh food side works fine. They also took the back off the freezer side and there was not ice build up. Is there something else would cause this? The fridge turns off like it thinks it is at the correct temp. So it would seems like a temp sensor or a board but they have been replaced. Any ideas?? Thank you!

Hello,

I have a frigidaire side by side refrigerator and I also have a very similar problem to yours in the the fridge side being too warm, in my case the temp reading is at 48 deg F when the temp setting is set to 37 deg F.
The freezer is working fine at 0 Deg F and there is no frosting on the evaporator coil that can prevent cold air from being circulated and the damper is working as well with cold air coming out. I also have replaced the main computer board, temperature control board and the sensor without any success. I was wondering if you have found the problem with your refrigerator yet?
Would appreciate your input.
Thank you.

John

Yes John I did find the problem. The service guy said he replaced the temp sensors on the fresh food side but found that he missed one of them that is next to the crisper drawer. I would look at the parts diagram and see where all your temp sensors are and make sure all of them are replaced. Hope you find a fix soon!
