Our Whirlpool washer makes a humming noise and will not drain. What could be causing this?

This washer has a drain pump with it's own motor.

I would venture a guess that something got in the pump and is jamming the impeller causing the motor to hum.

I am not used to the model you posted..
But I know the only way to know if there is something in the pump is to take the hoses off and see for yourself.
