My bake element went out. In process of checking it I did what never supposed to do. Forgot to unplug power source. Sparked the end when I was pulling ends out. Now nothing works . Control panel , burners , oven. Need some possible things to check . What is causing the problem. Installed a new bake element already. The plug is getting power so it's not the breaker. Please help.

Here are your parts Parts for Frigidaire FEF365BGWC Range - AppliancePartsPros.comHere is the wiring diagram http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...pringfield/316002662.pdfSince the oven control panel and stove top burners use different parts of the supply voltage I would start by checking the power. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. Check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Do this with the heater off and on. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! |
