I am trying to figure out if I can replace the cycling thermostat heater with a newer part.

This is what is currently broken on my dryer
http://www.********************...;ss=a8b6d157607&mr=1

I want to know if I can replace it with this
http://www.amazon.com/3387134-3...+Thermostat+Heater+61894

The second part looks to b newer and is a single unit where the current unit is in two pieces. From what I can tell the parts should be interchangeable but I am no expert.

Thanks!

We cannot recommend doing that. You are trying to use a part which was not designed to be used in your particular model dryer.
