You are getting heat so the centrifugal mechanism that actuates the switches is probably working correctly.

It is more like;y to be the board.

OK thanks denman, I will further in to the control board, I am going to check if I can get it locally as I am in Canada. I will also be looking at simply replacing the relay that affects this operation, Omron relays are generally reasonably priced...
