The washer will go through all cycles just fine and it does agitate, but it won't spin. I did a continuity test on the lid switch and it passed and just to be safe I also bypassed the lid switch and still won't spin. I also replaced the timer and still won't spin. I can hear the motor running and as I said it will agitate, but just won't ever spin. What could be the problem?

The textbook says that when you have spin problems on these models you replace the thrust bearing, this part here.

and as difficult as it is to believe, in this case the textbook is usually right.
