Hello all stumbled upon this website while trying to figure out why my dishwasher won't drain all way. I have checked drain hose to garbage disposal and have used shop vac to end of hose and sucked out any debris. I have disassembled the sprayer, lock cap(broke the locking tabs) took off filter, unlocked upper sprayer arm and only found little mush in back drain. But still no luck. What would be next step?

Thanks

Here are your parts
Parts for GE GLD5850L15CS Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.com

You could undo the drain hose at the disposal and get it to drain onto a pail.
Hold the hose securely in the pail and put a towel etc. over it to stop water splashing all over. This will eleiminate the drain as a possible cause.

If it is still a problem.
You will have to work your way back from the main pump to be sure the drain is clear.
Pay special attention to the flapper valves (items 328 in section 05).
Probably i is best to pull the dishwasher out from the cabinet.

Also check the sump fo any sign of rot. They can develop a crumbly coating on the inside which is the rubber breaking down. If there is any replace the sump as it is a leak waiting to happen.

Depends how it was installed.
