Hello all, I am trying to figure out a problem with my frigidaire upright freezer. Some time back we noticed the upper shelves were thawed out, but the items in the basket at floor level were still frozen solid. The compressor is running, seems to be all the time, evaporator fan does not run. Pulled cover out and checked for continuity at the defrost sensor, heater element and evap. motor and found all had it. The control does seem to work, as you can shut off then turn back on and hear the compressor start back up. Also when I first pulled the cover out of the back, the whole area directly under the evaporator coil was a block of ice all the way into the drain, like the heater had been running an extremely long time. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Here are your parts Parts for Frigidaire FFU14FC4AW0 Freezer - AppliancePartsPros.comHere is a wiring diagram. http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p..._pdf/StCloud/2168037.pdfSpounds like the fan is bad. The compressor is running, seems to be all the time, evaporator fan does not run. If the compressor is on then the fan should be on as they are wired in parallel. Check for 120 volts across the fan. If there is 120 and the fan does not run, it is toast.
