I am trying to replace the control panel on my jenn-air oven. Does anyone know how you remove the old ribbon from the circuit board? It is attached to the board via a black "clip." I found that the clip pops backwards to release the two small holes on the ribbon, but I am unsure if you are supposed to simply pull the ribbon free (feels very tight when I try and I am scared of ripping the ribbon) or if the entire black clip mechanism pulls out of the circuit board.

Thanks for your help!

If you click on the description or picture of the control [panel (item 1 in section 03) a new page will open with more views of the panel.
It shows that the ribbon cable does not have a connector at the control board end.
