Lower oven doesn't heat. replaced the element, still wont heat up. Diagram shows a heating element kit . Is there one for each oven and would defective one cause not heating properly?

I cannot find a heating element kit in the parts.
Could you post more info about it?
Perhaps find it in the parts link above.

Does the lower element stay in pre-heat or show that it is ready?
Is there ant heat at all?
Does the broil element work in broil mode?


Most likely it is a control board problem but that is just a guess.

look at item number 7 in the tech diagram. It is named a control sensor kit but appears to be placed in he top oven. I could have mis named it when typing. Is this the part that could control the ovens?

OK it is the oven sensor.
There will be one in each oven, usually back/top/left hand side.

Yes well sort of.
It senses the oven temperature and changes it's resistance with temperature change.
The control board then uses this resistance as the actual oven temperature and then turns the elements on/off as required to maintain the set point temperature.

At room temperature they usually measure about 1100 ohms (see page 3 of the tech sheet).

If the control board says it is ready and you have no heat or low heat in the oven then this could be the cause.

If the oven stays in pre-heat with no or low heat then this is not the cause because the oven control knows that the temperature is low so the oven sensor is doing it's job.
