Hello My oven is glass top electric. My display will only turn on if my oven burner knobs are turned on? I cannot get anything to work but just a few weeks ago it did this very same thing but everything would work as long as I turned the knob on. Any help would be appreciated

I cannot find any info on the given model number. Please check it. Find your model number - AppliancePartsPros.comSounds like a power problem. Perhaps you have lost half the line voltage (L1 usually). Then when you turn on a stove top element L2 voltage feed through the control and it then powers the control board. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. Check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! |

You are welcome.
And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause. |
