It's a GE 2002+- gas dryer with light lifetime indoor only use.

Everything functions fine, except the burner will only ignite when first started. Once it reaches temp and shuts off, it will not reignite for the rest of the drying cycle. About every 2 minutes there is a "rattle" for about 30 seconds. If I turn the heat knob to "no heat" the rattle immediately stops and does not return for the remainder of the cycle. If I turn it back to any of the heat settings, the "rattle" returns back to the 2 minute cycle.

I have now replaced: igniter assembly, rotary 4-temp switch, rotary switch (xtra care), thermostat trimmer, thermostat safety, thermostat bias ctr inlt, bearing kit, bearing slides and drive belt.

There's not much left to replace. Please help...

Nailed it!! Took 10 minutes to change out the parts and the dryer works once again.

Thanks for the help.
