No cold water entering the drums. There is water to the inlet valve. When I move the hot water wires to the cold water solenoid the solenoid works, so inlet valve seems o.k.. What is my next trouble shooting step?

May be faulty temp switch. Unplug washer, unplug wires from terminals 1 and 3 on back of temp switch. With switch set to cold/cold, you should have continuity between terminal 1 and 3. If not or you read high resistance, replace switch. Part number is WH12X999. When I look up this part number on APP, it gives replacement part WH12X10498 and the photo's show a switch with only 4 terminals. Your switch should have 5 terminals.

No continuity between 1 and 3. I ordered a new WH12X999. Thanks!

The new WH12X999 just came and it only has 4 terminals. Can I make it work?

Should work ok. After looking at the wiring diagram and timer chart again, I see no function whatsoever for the blue wire at terminal 5. Weird. Is your original switch a 3 position switch or 4?

Original is a three position switch: cold/cold, warm/cold, hot/cold. The original switch had 5 terminals. New one has 4 terminals, so now blue wire goes nowhere. Seems to work fine with the 4 terminal switch.

Some of these older models had a 4 position temp switch that included a warm/warm setting (warm rinse). Terminal 5 and the blue wire were to provide for the warm rinse. Still doesn't make sense though that there is a 5 terminal switch with only 3 positions and no function of terminal 5 and blue wire. Anyway, your back in business.
