Ice maker is not making ice. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked for a few days and stopped making ice again. After unplugging again it still doesn't make ice. Where do I start troubleshooting? The ice maker is in the "on" position.

Update: The ice maker mechanism still works, but no ice is being produced except for a small trivial amount. The temp is 5° and we are going to change the filter before going any further. Any help would be appreciated.

You are welcome though I was barking up the wrong tree.
And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause. |
