can you tell me what size socket I need to remove the nut to get to the bearing? I have bearing now, I odered where you suggested

isn't there a nut you have to remove to get to the bearing?

Other than the inner tub nut, if your removing the inner tub, the only other nut is the one attaching the pulley to the transmission input shaft and that nut is 3/4".

Amazing! Took a long time, tough to unassemble, but quiet finally! You saved me a lot of money telling me to replace the bearing not the whole trans. Everywhere I have looked the answer was different from your's. We tried everything and were ready to buy a trans when I found you. My husband and I are fairly handy and repaired the washer today. This is not a job for everyone, but we are handy enough and thankfully so. Thanks again for your help and diagrams, and info on the bearing. I hope others with this issue find your answer and save like we did!

Use a hammer and putty knife and work the knife into the groove between the pulley hub and cam hub. Once you get a gap between them, use a flatblade screwdriver and pry up with that.
