My refrigerator / freezers topped cooling however I could hear a noise that sounded like the symptoms forneeding a new Start-Dev kit. Iinstalled the kit and it seemed to fix the problem. The temperatures came down… for about 10 hours. After that time, the refrigerator warmed upand made the same noises.
On a whim I unplugged and re-pluggedthe refrigerator. The compressor kicked on,cooled the box, and I have heard it cycle off and on according to thetemperature settings.
I don’t trust therefrigerator at this point though. Doyou have any ideas / suggestions on what could be causing this problem?

You probably have a hard starting compressor, drawing high current and shutting down, amprobe would confirm.

Is there a fix for this short of a new compressor? A higher power Dev Start? I am checking the refrigerator to make sure it is running every time I go in the kitchen now.
