Dryer ran perfectly, put in a new load. Turned knob to select cycle and hit start button. Nothing. It sounds like the timer ticking. I turned the knob to different cycles. Just ticking noise. I held a little tension on the knob to select cycle. It ran for a couple minutes while I held tension on the knob. As soon as I let go it stopped running and will not run again.

Unplug dryer, open control panel and check connections on back of timer. Make sure they are clean and tight. If no problem found there, replace timer.
