I have a older magic chef refrigerator/freezer which stopped cooling. It is making a clicking noise at the compressor. I replaced the capacitor which did not fix the problem. I did not replace the overload switch. I tested the terminals for resistance and there was continuance from each terminal to the other 2. No ground continuance demonstrated. Values from two of the terminals was 10 and 9 on the compressor. The last two terminals gave a zero value, however the circuit was closed as the multimeter sound was demonstrated. Thoughts?

It seems like your overload is ok, but if you can get one, replace it. All indications are your start device is blown open.

Ok i will replace the start capacitor a second time. When i looked up overload switch on this site for parts they had two different switches with no picture of overload? Which should I get for this model?

Either overload should work if they are for your fridg. The capacitor is a run capacitor, they very rarely fail, you need to replace the start device.
