My Kenmore 600 washer agitate, but stop when it should drain and spin.
It has some humming sound.
I bypassed the lid switch and it does same thing--lid switch is fine;
I took off the pump and found the motor does not rotate when the dial is in "spin" and only hear humming sound. But the washer did agitate. Does that mean the motor is good? What could be wrong? Thank you. BTW where can I find model number?

Model number might be under lid either on the panel or the tub cover. We need that number. Set to spin with pump removed and try rotating motor shaft CW by hand as fast as you can while it is humming. If it won't start, remove motor and set on floor and try again. If it still just hums, spin pump shaft by hand again CW. Place your foot on motor when starting as motor may jump if it starts. Don't leave it humming for long as that is bad for the capacitor and motor windings. Motor is probably fine. Problem is most likely the timer.

The motor runs in the opposite direction for spin than it does for agitate. This is accomplished with the timer reversing polarity to the motor start winding. If one of the swtiches in the timer for the start winding is not making contact and you only have power to the motor run winding but not the start winding, the motor will hum, but won't start. If that is the case, you should be able to start it by hand.

The model number is:29622801.
I removed the motor and tried to rotate it by hand. It does not start and just hum. Is there any way to check the timer directly or what else I should do? (BTW, the SPIN on all the cycles are not working) Thank you.

You will have to check voltages at the motor connector. With timer in spin mode, you should have 120vac between the blue and white/black wires as well as between the red and yellow wires.

I am going to buy multimeter to take a measurement of it. Can you let me know what it means if it is 120vac or not and what's next I will do. Just one more step further is ok. Thank you. You said the motor hums when in spin mode. It can't hum if it doesn't have any power to it. The blue to wht/blk is the run winding, red to yellow is the start winding. If motor is humming, you must be getting power to one of these windings. I think your timer is probably bad but I have little confidence in your voltage tests. When timer is set to spin mode, does the timer advance on it's own?

Yes, i had the same wondering too. I am going to do it again tonight. The timer just stop at SPIN and does not move.。。
