Would appreciate any suggestions on next steps to solve the issue of the washer not automatically shifting into the spin cycle following the neutral drain step. After the timed drain step, motor continues to run, drum doesn't move, and cycle times out leaving clothes soaking wet. This happens after both Agitate and Rinse. If I stop the motor and re-start with lid switch, or main On/OFF, drum will spin at full speed for duration of cycle.
I first replaced the timer and then have replaced the gearcase, clutch, and drive coupling. Clutch is not slipping during Spin.
Resistance of motor windings checks ok as does continuity of the Motor Start switch. Contacts were burnt in switch (photo attached). Burnished these but this didn't help. Photo of schematic and Sequence diagram are attached.

Thanks for responding. The timer was my first thought also for the reason you mention....need to pause after neutral drain. The new timer I installed didn't correct the issue. Still have same failure mode. Is there something else I should look at or is there a way to verify if the new timer is defective?

In just about every wash cycle the motor keeps running after the 2 minute drain period. The cycle times out without the motor stopping and the drum doesn't shift into SPIN.....following either WASH or RINSE functions.
Only found two exceptions....
+ During one test at REGULAR speed the motor did stop briefly after the WASH/ DRAIN functions allowing the SPIN cycle to start.
+ During one test at DELICATE speed the drum started to SPIN at the same time as the DRAIN started....didn't stay in neutral for drain.
Sounds like this all points to the replacement timer I installed being the problem.
Is there anything else I should check that could have caused the same problem to occur with the original and replacement timers? Hate to install a 3rd timer and have a repeat.
