Or are you talking about the line going from the water inlet valve up the back of the unit where it hooks to a junction and goes through the back to the ice maker. It doesn't actually connect to the ice maker. The water goes into a fill tube and just flows into the ice mold per gravity.

Most ice maker kits will have the proper fitting with it. Some have a self tapping valve you clamp to the water source and has a fitting for a coil of tubing.
